“Pausing returns us to the space where we may expand our capacity to make decisions and take action from our greater wisdom, compassion and relationship with the world”
Welcome to Joyful Nature & Yoga! I am so glad you are here.
My name is Jennifer Lynn and I am a certified trauma-informed yoga teacher with a focus and interest on gentle movement designed to relax and restore the nervous system. I began my study of yoga movement over 15 years ago. My interest began as a purely physical and external practice with the intention of learning to unwind after many years spent in the corporate world. The corporate world often left me feeling exhausted, burnt-out and overwhelmingly stressed. I learned quickly that yoga supported not only my physical health, but it also supported my mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. It was through my commitment to yoga that I finally found relief from deeply held tension in both my mind and body. Over time, what began as a purely physical practice evolved into an understanding of the internal practice of yoga which consists of stillness, self-study, balance and acceptance.
My love of yoga led me on a journey to become a teacher in 2020, where I really began to embrace my passion for sharing restorative yoga movement within the community I call home. I believe we are living in an unprecedented time of high burn-out, high stress and high tension in the mind, body and spirit., so I offer students a chance to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect to their internal world in order to reestablish safety in the body, stillness in their mind and reconnection to our divine selves. I create safe spaces that promote a sense of community, health and well-being.
As I continued my journey through the world of yoga, I was introduced to a sister world of intentional gathering in the form of women’s circles. The first circle I ever attended was in 2017 and it changed my life. I remember leaving my first women’s circle and wondering what just happened! It was the first time I ever gathered in a sacred space, surrounded by women, with intention. Being witnessed in circles has expanded my life in so many ways, and I’ve watched countless other women bloom wide open as well. I truly believe in the power of healing and growth through this modality. I have been facilitating women’s circles since 2020.
In 2025 I became a certified Menopause Yoga teacher as well. As I began my journey of navigating The Menopause, which is the time period between perimenopause through post-Menopause, I realized I lacked resources and support. I couldn’t find reliable information online or a reliable community around me to turn to in order to find relief, comfort and support. This prompted me to find an online community in which I could learn from with the intention of bringing what I desired most into the community I call home. No woman should walk through this transitional time alone. Women are meant to be in community, we are meant to be seen and held by one another.
I am a certified 200 RYT trauma-informed yoga teacher with additional certifications focusing on Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Education for Teens and Children, JOYW Circle Facilitator and My Menopause Yoga.
I’m so glad you have found your way to my page and I hope to see you on the mat!
